What’s Happening Around the River’s Edge Golf Course?

Pardon our dust, but if you’ve driven up Mt. Washington Drive recently you’ve noticed that there is plenty happening around the River’s Edge Golf Course.

Although play has not been interrupted here nor will it be, expect to see more activity around the 9th fairway as crews work to prepare the area for the next phase of the River’s Edge Village Master Plan.

The construction is being undertaken by River’s Edge Property Development LLC and encompasses 30 lots with private streets on the east side of Awbrey adjacent to the River’s Edge Golf Course. Site work, including grading and infrastructure development is being done by Taylor NW and is expected to be wrapped up by the end of this year with construction beginning in early 2015.

Lot sizes will range from 4,700 sq ft.  to 8,100 sq. ft. River’s Edge Property Development has not yet determined lot pricing for the home sites, 19 of which back up to the 9th fairway of the golf course.

However, Gary Cox, River’s Edge Investment’s property management developer, said that market conditions are ripe for more single family housing in Bend. Those conditions which include a relative slim supply of inventory and sustained demand from owners and investors convinced River’s Edge Property Development to undertake Phase XVI of their master plan. It is the only phase being undertaken at this time, Cox said. River’s Edge Property Development has not yet selected a builder for the project.
