There’s a tradition of enjoying lunch with your fellow golfers out-of-doors in the most enjoyable of golfing conditions. Maybe an Arnold Palmer is your beverage of choice before starting a game, or perhaps an ice cold beer is the perfect end to your 18 holes.
Hanging in the outdoors
You didn’t pick golf as a sport for its time spent indoors, so why would you choose to spend your pre-game pick me up or post game strategy discussion indoors too? Most golf courses and clubs offer a deck or patio, for their golfers to enjoy a leisurely break from the course. While some may offer a sports bar feel, and might even be replaying the last major golf competition, others strive to offer a more upscale feel and feature a deck with sweeping views of the course or nearby city or town. Either way, it can set you up for success on the course to relax a little, or have that last bite of protein, and improve your golf game.
Even if you have one too many pre-game snacks, you can choose to walk off the extra calories. A walking game of golf carries many health benefits. Many courses also offer fun alternatives to golf carts or simply walking the course. Golf boarding has taken over in some areas, as an additional mode of golf transportation while on the course. It has also seen an increase in the pace of play, all while reducing the wear and tear on the turf.
