Michael Lewis is a Class A PGA Professional and General Manager of River’s Edge Golf
Course in Bend, with over 30 years of experience in instruction and golf operations. A PGA
member since 1999 and Utah Section Teacher of the Year in 2005, he has led instruction
programs at Pronghorn, Tetherow, and the TaylorMade Performance Lab of Utah.
Originally from Provo, Utah, he is also a Master Instructor for the Patriot Golf Foundation and
has helped more than 50 students earn college golf scholarships. Michael played at Utah State
University, turned professional in 1996, and recorded a competitive low round of 67.
As General Manager, Michael is focused on elevating the overall guest experience,
strengthening daily operations, growing player development programs, and enhancing
instruction, tournament play, community events and The Edge Bar & Grill to make River’s Edge
a premier destination for golfers in Central Oregon.
He lives in Bend with his wife, Beth, and their three daughters, Hannah, Maggie and Emma and
enjoys cycling and fly fishing.

Coulee Prince brings a deep-rooted passion for golf course maintenance and a strong
connection to River’s Edge Golf Course as he steps into his role as Superintendent in
2025. A Bend native, Coulee began his career in golf maintenance during high school at
the Woodlands Course in Sunriver, where he quickly discovered a love for the industry
that would shape his professional path.
Coulee has built a well-rounded career in turf management, gaining experience at
several courses throughout Central Oregon, as well as in Pennsylvania, where he was
part of a team that hosted a PGA Tour event and contributed to operations at multiple
U.S. Opens. He holds degrees in Turf Science from Central Oregon Community College
and Penn State University, combining academic expertise with hands-on experience at
some of the game’s highest levels.
Having grown up playing River’s Edge, Coulee has a special affinity for the course and
a deep appreciation for its role in the local community. He is a strong advocate for
public golf and believes in its ability to bring people together and grow the game.
An avid golfer, Coulee enjoys sharing his passion for the sport with his wife, Jessica,
and their daughter, Billee. As Superintendent, he is committed to delivering exceptional
course conditions and enhancing the overall player experience at River’s Edge.
