Five Reasons to Get in Another Round at River’s Edge Golf Course

The full service, 18-hole River’s Edge golf course is one of the most popular in Central Oregon, and for good reason. But as the weather starts colder (sometimes very quickly colder) in the fall months you may be wondering if you’ve played your last round for the year. We suggest that you have not! In fact, now is one of the best times to get some more golf sessions in at River’s Edge, and we’re going to let you know just why that’s the case.

  1. River’s Edge is Beautiful in the Fall

While Bend is famous for its evergreens, there’s a lot of foliage in the city – and around the River’s Edge course – that turns in the fall with a beautiful display of yellow and gold. Even if you’ve visited River’s Edge before, you should give it another try when the leaves are turning. It will make the experience even better! But it’s important to get your last round in before the weather gets too cold! Fortunately, River’s Edge is open year-round providing there’s not too much snow (many Central Oregon courses can’t say the same), so you have plenty of opportunities.

  1. The Greens are Less Crowded

Golfing in the Central Oregon summer is great fun, but the courses can get a little crowded during these times. Fortunately, by the time the milder weather comes along, the courses have cleared out quite a bit. If you were unimpressed by how busy courses were before, autumn may be the perfect time for you to try out River’s Edge course.

  1. You Can Save Some Money

Green fees go down after summer is over and fall is here. Courses like River’s Edge offer discounts and reduced rates, which makes this an ideal time to squeeze in a last round while also saving some money. These lower costs may also apply to golf equipment and apparel in the pro shop, meals at Bogey’s Café and more, so feel free to look for all kinds of deals!

  1. You’re Close to a Warming Drink and Meal

When River’s Edge describes itself as “full service”, we really mean it. In addition to all kinds of golfing services, we also offer a wide variety of food and beverages. That includes a restaurant and deck overlooking the course, a full bar to try out and fun snacks to eat. If you’re feeling a little cold and tired at the end of your fun round, food and drink are close at hand to help warm you up again and give you energy for the rest of the day.

  1. River’s Edge Has a Great Central Location for More Fun

If you’re looking for a good time after golfing, or you’re making a stop at River’s Edge part of a larger Bend plan, you’ll be pleased to know that the course has a very central Bend location just off highway 97 and behind the Riverhouse Hotel. This makes it easy to combine with other activities in Bend. Whether you’re visiting the Fall Festival, stopping by the Old Mill District for some shopping or frequenting one of your favorite pubs, you’ll find that everything is within close proximity.
