Cobra Introduces New King Wedges Offering More Feel For Your Golf Game

As one of the best golf resorts in Oregon, the River’s Edge Golf Course allows golfers to improve their skills and compete in golf games to show their buddies who is the best golfer out on the course. It also gives you the best opportunity to see what types of clubs that other golfers might be playing with and find out their opinions on how the clubs handle the course. This season, you may see a new style of wedges in the sand trap or when a player wants to get that perfect lob shot. Cobra is expanding its line of irons to include the King wedges that will be available to golfers on April 1st.

King Wedges Designed to Give More Feel to Golfers

When you are a golfer, you are looking for the perfect wedges that offer the ultimate feel — that sweet spot where the club resonates properly in your ears and your hands. Cobra’s golf engineers focused on giving their irons more feel by performing modal analysis. They studied the vibrational frequencies in their clubs and fine-tuned the dynamic properties of the wedges. These irons have a thicker face, up to 11 percent more thickness than the Tour Trusty, for a higher vibration frequency. The engineers also worked on the rear muscle by extending it by 5 percent. With these changes, the King wedges have the softest feel possible.

Yet let’s not leave out the other desired features available with the Cobra King wedges. In addition to improving the feel of the irons, the Cobra engineers also focused on spin and loft. The face on the wedges was given a textured coating to boost spin. They also placed on progressive milled grooves for better ball contact for the type of angle that you desire, offering a range of versatility for different shots along various course conditions.

Cobra introduces three different sole grinds with high loft and low loft aspects. The Cobra Versatile King wedge is perfect for medium to firm turf giving a medium bounce angle of 8 to 10 degrees. The WideLow wedge provides a lower bounce angle of 4 to 7 degrees for soft and medium turf conditions. The Classic wedge performs well on all types of turf with a high bounce angle of 11 to 12 degrees.

They will set you back about $150 per wedge. You will also have some time to figure out the best one for your preferences and skill experience so you can have a stellar game while improving on your golf performance.
