Top 10 Drivers for 2015

The weather is gorgeous and the golf season has finally arrived. It is time to get out on that green to practice your swing, challenge your friends to a game of golf and charm the clients during a business lunch break. Getting out onto the course this year has been made even better with the golf manufacturers rolling out their new advances to golf technology.

Today we are checking out the top 10 drivers of 2015 that will grab your eye and make your fingers twitch to get out to play a game today. If you are looking for a new driver, check out our list as they can offer stellar advantages to give more ball speed, distance, ball stability, and air time.

1: TaylorMade R15 Driver

When you are looking for an adjustable driver, TaylorMade certainly has achieved it with their R15 drivers. This driver has 2 sliding weights located in the sole and a 12-setting hostel, giving a golfer 1,836 possible configurations to improve the launch angles while decreasing spin. So you can adjust the weights to sit in the toe to reduce hooks, in the split for more forgiveness, in the heel for less slices or at the center for more distance. The only problem is that with so many configurations, you’ll have to fiddle and toy with it until you find the right one that works for you.

2: Titlelist 915 Series

Titlelist has taken great strides in improving their line of drivers, and you will instantly see and feel the difference with their 915 D2 and D3 series. All drivers feature their Active Recoil Channel, a channel along the sole, to add a more consistent spin to the ball and incredible ball speeds. The Titlelist 915s have a lighter and thinner face, helping with weight issues if you don’t quite hit the ball at the center of the face. The only downside is that the weight movement isn’t controlled by the golfer so hopefully the manufacturer will bring such user adjustability to next year’s line. Overall, the Titlelist 915 series will give you the ball speeds you want with amazing distance.

3: Cobra Fly Z+ Driver

The Cobra Fly Z+ driver can drastically increase ball speeds even on off-center shots. This benefit is accomplished by the channel placed along the face. Also, there is a 15-gram adjustable weight to change the center of gravity until it fits into your golf skills. Switch between low and forward or low and back when moving the weight along the sole as you can gain the best stability desired. There is also the Fly Z driver for the mid-handicappers to improve their abilities as well as the Fly Z XL that can help you improve your game play.

4: Nike Vapor Flex Driver

So what could Nike bring to the golf driver game that the other manufacturers can’t? They decided to let you have more control over the launch angle and spin with the Vapor Flex Driver. While that doesn’t sound like much, the difference is that you don’t have to also adjust the loft setting. The Nike Vapor Flex driver has a high density weight in the RZN tube in the sole cavity along with 15 loft and angle adjustable settings. So you can adjust it the way you want to, especially when you want less spin yet a better launch angle.

5: Wilson Staff D200

When it comes to drivers this year, you will find that some manufacturers opted for a more adjustable club while others sought to lessen the weight and thickness. When it comes to the Wilson Staff D200 driver, they sought to give the best of both worlds. This club only weighs about 268 grams. If you are surprised by that lightness, you’ll be taken in with the face that has a variable thickness to offer a more consistent hit even when connecting off-center. The loft is adjustable in six different ways too, allowing you to find the forgiveness you want and the accuracy you need.

6: Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 Driver

With golfer-controlled weights and adjustable features the current golfing craze this year, Callaway isn’t being left behind as they have released their Big Bertha Alpha 815 Driver. You can control the center of gravity due to the weights along the heel and the toe. So you can have more help to reduce your slices and hooks. The face is also thinner and lighter for impressive ball speeds, as you will find this a more forgiving driver when out on the course.

8: Callaway XR Driver

This driver allows you to move the weight to even more positions than the other ones. So you can place them in the toe and front, heel, middle, and back. If you love adjusting your clubs, you will be able to tweak this club to your heart’s content to get the best preference for trajectory, distance, direction, and spin.
